About Barbara McCreary

Barb McCreary is a retired elementary school teacher and librarian who lives in a beautiful maritime forest in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. She is a former board member of Carteret Writers, a past president of The Friends of the Bogue Banks Public Library, and currently volunteers at The History Museum of Carteret County. Barb's interest in the history and culture of Eastern North Carolina inspired her children's historical fiction Ebb and Flow: Lewis’s Story of Shackleford Banks, which can be purchased locally in your favorite bookstores or online at Amazon.
